American Express Making Changes to Rewards Program
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that American Express is making changes to its Membership Rewards program, including the end of double points on “everyday” purchases such as gas and groceries. In addition, some cards will be raising their annual fees.
On the plus side, American Express will offer double points for online purchases at certain merchant partners. The report says that American Express will inform cardholders of the change in their August bills.
